Admit Card & Test Day Procedures for GPAT 2024

1. Admit Card Availability

  • Where to Find: Admit cards will be available on the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) website at natboard.edu.in starting from June 3, 2024.
  • Eligibility Check: Candidates found ineligible before the exam will not receive their admit cards.

2. Notification of Admit Card Availability

  • Communication: Candidates will be informed via SMS/Email alerts and notices on the NBEMS website. Admit cards will not be sent via post or email.

3. Admit Card Requirements

  • Downloading: Candidates must download their admit cards from the NBEMS website.
  • Photograph Affixation: Candidates must affix a recent passport-size photograph (not older than 3 months) on the admit card.
    • Specifications: The photograph must be color, with a white background, showing 75% face coverage, neutral expression, no accessories, and should be of high quality (600 dpi minimum).

4. Test Day Environment

  • Conduct of Exam: The Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted by NBEMS in a secure environment, adhering to COVID-19 safety protocols.
  • Flexibility: NBEMS reserves the right to adjust test day processes based on the evolving COVID-19 situation.

5. Reporting Time and Entry Procedures

  • Reporting Counter: Candidates must report at the ‘Reporting Counter’ of the test venue as per the time slot mentioned on their admit cards.
  • Staggered Entry: To avoid crowding, candidates will have staggered entry times.
  • Closure Time: The reporting counter closes 30 minutes before the exam starts for security checks and identity verification.

6. Late Arrival Policy

  • Non-Entry: Candidates arriving late or after the designated reporting time will not be allowed to enter the exam hall under any circumstances. NBEMS will not be responsible for delayed arrivals.

7. Test Centre Location and Familiarization

  • Details: The exact address of the test centre will be specified on the admit card.
  • Preparation: Candidates are advised to familiarize themselves with the test centre location at least one day before the exam and report on time.

8. Document Requirements

  • Mandatory Documents: Candidates must bring:
    • Printed copy of the Admit Card with affixed photograph.
    • Any one original, valid, government-issued photo ID (PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhaar Card with photograph).

9. E-Aadhaar Card Acceptance

  • Conditions: If using e-Aadhaar as ID, it must be a color printout with a clear photograph, matching the candidate presenting it.

10. ID Verification and Security Measures

  • Verification: Strict identity checks will be conducted upon arrival at the test centre to prevent unauthorized candidates.
  • Prohibited Items: Candidates are not allowed to carry certain items beyond the security checkpoint, including stationery.

11. Penalty for Misconduct

  • Consequences: Candidates found using false/forged documents or ID proofs will face penalties and may be barred from future exams.

12. Security at the Test Centre

  • Restrictions: Beyond the security checkpoint, candidates cannot take certain items into the exam hall under any circumstances.
